Memory archive

Art residency and exhibition collaborated with Ria Kiburia Foundation

Artists work within the contexts of memory, time, and their political, social, and spiritual aspects.
Stories presented here were being passed down from generation to generation as family artifacts. Artists rethink them, giving them new formats and uncovering new meanings, giving them new formats and uncovering new meanings. They also serve as an attempt to bridge the gap between generations and cultures, to preserve and share family histories. The exhibition reimagines lost family artefacts and verbally shared stories, breathing life into vital memories.

The project was created with the assistance of the Ria KEBURIA Foundation and Sisters Room Art space to support artists in exile
