Art residency located by Trassimeno Lake in Umbria Italy at Villa de Maria.
The Sisters Room Project operates a residency programme that runs from February to March each year.
the Villa de Maria Estate sits within more then 900 hundred hectares of woodland, rugged hills, olive groves, and vineyards.

Accomodation

Studios


The residency studio is a spacious, light-filled working environment defined by large stained-glass windows that shape the quality of natural light throughout the day. The space accommodates 4–5 artists, fostering both individual practice and a shared atmosphere of exchange and focused production.
The studio includes the following facilities:

Large communal working tables

Individual easels

Paint storage stands and support units for materials

Basic tools and equipment for painting and mixed-media practices

Shared workspace suitable for both individual and collaborative work
The studio is designed to provide a functional and adaptable environment that supports a wide range of artistic practices throughout the residency period in Italy.
How to Apply? We welcome applications from emerging and established artists working in sculpture, installation, or interdisciplinary practices. Artists with an interest in exploring the relationship between art and nature, as well as those eager to push the boundaries of site-specific art, are particularly encouraged to apply.
